In an impressive international achievement, two distinguished authors from Dong Nai have contributed to a major scientific monograph titled “Clean Energy in South-East Asia,” officially published in September 2025 by the renowned Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), headquartered in London, United Kingdom.

A Comprehensive Resource on Clean Energy

The 505-page monograph offers an in-depth and structured analysis of the current status and future prospects of clean energy in Southeast Asia. Based on real-life case studies from various provinces and cities in Vietnam, the book explores vital topics such as wind and solar power potential and challenges, the impact of policies and investment mechanisms, clean energy trends in developing countries, and technical solutions to optimize power grids. It also addresses the innovative use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technology in managing sustainable energy systems.

Esteemed Contributions from Dong Nai Experts

The scientific work is the result of years of collaboration amongst a group of respected authors, including Assoc. Prof., Dr. Sci. Le Anh Tuan, and Dr. Nguyen Dinh Long, both from Dong Nai University. Notably, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Long serves as the Head of the Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering at Dong Nai University, while Dr. Le Anh Duc, former Rector of the university, currently holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Dong Nai province.

Bridging Theory and Practice for Regional Impact

Assoc. Prof., Dr. Sci. Ngo Dang Luu, one of the lead authors, emphasized the book’s role in bridging theoretical research with practical solutions. It addresses a broad spectrum of real-world energy challenges and suggests actionable approaches that align with Vietnam’s national goals, including the commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 and the frameworks outlined in the Power Development Plan VIII.

An Important Resource for the Future

This publication has been highly praised for its academic rigor, objectivity, and value, supported by IET’s stringent peer-review process. It is expected to serve as an essential reference for universities, industry professionals, researchers, and policymakers engaged in clean energy development and energy transition across Southeast Asia.

The successful publication of “Clean Energy in South-East Asia” positions Vietnam and Dong Nai’s scientific community on the global stage, highlighting their expertise and commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
